Opposition leader Lawrence Springborg said the hospital bed shortage and ambulancediversions this week were "disgraceful".
More government funding was needed to cope with the seasonal demand for emergency servicesat the state's hospitals, he said.
"This is a disgraceful state of affairs," Mr Springborg said.
"Winter colds are nothing new.
"It's hardly rocket science to be able to provide additional facilities at an annualand cyclical time of additional need."
