Paris: New trends of retailers

Special features of the present markets in Paris may be summarized by the following three movements: "the rise of sports," "emergence of mega-stores in retailing" and "opening rushes of deluxe brand-name stores."

Rise of Sports

The rise of sports in retailing can not be ignored. It is symbolized by the Adidas' mega-store which has been opened in rue de Rivoli and the Citadium of the PPR Group (a group holding the Printemps Department Store and a mail-order operator La Redoute, etc.) which has been opened at the back of Printemps.
